The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position designed for intervention encounters a read more higher inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
